The Colorado Author’s Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and preserving the history of the accomplishments of past and present women and men who have created and published books. Both historical and contemporary authors who have shared their words of wisdom, encouragement and entertainment are celebrated. The Colorado Author’s Hall of Fame ensures that their insight and visionary achievements will not be forgotten. The Colorado Author’s Hall of Fame is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2013.
Our Mission
To inspire by celebrating and sharing the lifetime contributions of Colorado’s extraordinary authors.
The Hall strives to educate the people of Colorado and the country about the stories of the authors who shaped their works using their personal presence and the environment of our State with courage, leadership, intelligence, compassion, and creativity. Their talents, skills, struggles, and contributions form a legacy that the Colorado Author’s Hall of Fame is dedicated to protecting and celebrating. Authors of diverse backgrounds, from pioneers to politicians, educators to entrepreneurs, are inducted into the Hall of Fame during a gala event held in every even-numbered year. The authors inducted into the Hall of Fame have made a major impact on the lives of others with their words, elevating their knowledge; solving problems; inspiring them to reach and stretch; delivering stories that entertain; stirring the imagination of young and old alike; and changing lives within out State, our Nation and for many, around the World.
Who We Are
The daily operations of the Colorado Author’s Hall of Fame are carried out by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The organizational structure also includes an Honorary Board comprising notable citizens from across the State who support the mission and goals of the Hall of Fame. Throughout the year, volunteers help with the many projects, programs, and events planned by the Board of Directors. All share the same goal of educating society about the contributions of Colorado’s remarkable authors and ensuring their legacy for future generations.
