The Author U Extravaganza is an annual event held the first weekend in May. Throughout the year, Author U holds two single day Boot Camps along with a variety of meetings throughout the month. Each bring together a variety of authors within Colorado and be delivered with the quality that I’ve brought to all the conferences I’ve done in the past. The Extravaganza brings in members who are out of state and country.

There are a limited # of Exhibitor spaces for the Friday-Saturday (80% are now committed); the event runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day with an evening function on Friday night—includes continental breakfast, lunch, breaks and workbooks. If you are interested in participating you can do so with a booth. Author U is a huge supporter of its Exhibitors, maximizing your exposure.

Early Bird Exhibitor Cost is $600 for Author U members and $750 for non-members for the two days and includes meals (this will save you at least $200 in hotel related meals—dinner Thursday, Friday, breakfast and lunch Friday and Saturday). This price is good until March 1, 2013. If there is more than one person in your booth or you are sharing a booth, there is an additional charge for the second person.

If you can’t attend, you can submit flyers at a cost of $100 (we will need 200). Set up will be on Thursday—you will be notified of the time within the month. There will be a buffet for Exhibitors to graze on at 6:30 pm—so plan on it as a full dinner. Extravaganza sessions start at 12:30 pm on Thursday. The Deep Dive Dinner Workshop starts at 5:00 pm and runs until 9:00 pm. Friday starts at 8 am with Cevin Bryerman from Publishers Weekly doing the keynote.

As of January 5th, there are 47 participants pre-registered.

This year’s location is at the Renaissance Denver Hotel in Denver, CO (intersection of 70 and Quebec Rd—it’s across from what used to be the old Stapleton Airport). The Renaissance is a Marriott property and considered upscale in the travel industry. The Renaissance Denver Hotel is located directly across from a shopping center—anything you need is a short walk! Author U Group room rates are $119 through April 1st and then released if not sold out prior to that date. Your hotel fee will include garage parking and can add days before and after if you plan of visiting other clients.

The www.AuthorU.org website is active with multiple changes throughout these next few weeks with speaker updates for the Extravaganza. The Resource, Author U’s ezine is extensive and is published the first week of the month. Author U now hosts a weekly radio show, Your Guide to Book Publishing airs on the Rock Star Radio Network on Thursdays an is available for podcast downloading and iTunes shortly after with over 18,000 downloads a month.
