Tips for the coming weekend … mobile marketing; your websites; your travel.
Your 2015 marketing must be mobile first. Is it?
Focus on what Facebook is doing because your marketing in 2015 and beyond will depend on it!
Facebook is climbing on the mobile bandwagon including Facebook Lightweight, Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. As a result, Facebook will force you to ante up to market across their platforms. You may not love Facebook, but millions do. Don’t forget the millions of Twitter users and Pinterest shoppers–who have a higher buy rate than the others.
The hackers are out …
Is your tech team making sure (or are you) that your site(s) haven’t been hacked? That includes how a site is viewed via a mobile device. If it happens, it’s a holy s&%#t moment. Hacked sites need to be fixed quickly, as in ASAP. One fixer is Sucuri (sucuri.net). Prices range from $199 to $499 a year with a range of services. It’s malware removal time.
Are you planning any travel abroad?
If you are going to be renting a car, use the right credit card. Your auto insurance may be invalid outside the U.S. Anyone who has rented before knows that insurance charges can run high. What to do: before you book anything, check with your credit card company(s) and ask if their benefit includes rental car insurance outside of the country.
