The BIG 4 Website Blunders money key

1 COLOR pollution

You have a myriad of colors blends … don’t use them. Stick with THREE primary colors (or less).

2 OD of IMAGES and NO CONTENT

Yes, the majority of the world is visual … but, you need some verbiage on your website.

3 Your Critical INFO is at the BOTTOM of a Page … any Page
Open a Page on your website … any Page. What shows? On your screen—Computer, Tablet, Phone. Are your “grabbers” and Key Info showing … or are they lost? Find them and reposition pronto.

4 No OPT-IN Box The savvy author starts list building from the get-go. If you didn’t, today is your get-go. Offer “something” that is juicy enough to entice the visitor to leave an email, phone#, state. Create a Tips freebie or a Cheat Sheet that relates to your expertise—after all, the visitor is there for some reason. You may have a PDF of an eBook or a report that could be of value. Or think about a compilation of several articles or Blogs that you’ve done—put them together with a lead-in of some sort and TaDah!

Your website fails when a visitor comes and departs without giving you their info.

eMail is not deademail
It’s important to stay in your crowd’s radar. Do it with content, information that can be used and doesn’t afraid to be vulnerable once in awhile. After all, life isn’t perfect; you are going to have down days in writing, promoting and marketing. This is a great time that you can share and add your takeaway. What would you do differently if you meet the same hiccup again?

It’s easy to get overwhelmed and stuck when it comes to your Blog—the Blog that says FEED ME

blog1 If you are looking for writing topics for your Blogs, look at the news. Can you “news jack” something and then hook it onto your book or your expertise? Did you see a recent posting by someone else that you totally disagreed with? Jump on it; link to it; then dive into your view and position. Key tip on what to write about: ANYTHING your clients, your customers, your followers feel is valuable.
